Owning many of the local businesses properties and a good handful of houses, the Sullivans are the town's major landlords, and town opinion of them is low. Though they do not actually reside within the town, their business office is and they are in town often.
The mother of the family, Helena, is particularly reviled in the town, and the eldest of her children, Fiona, often accompanies her when she comes into town to collect payments and deposits from the office. The majority of the legal work is actually done by the older brother, Louis, and he is the one most frequently in town.
The notable exception is the youngest brother of the Sullivan group, Nicolas. The entire town knows he has completely cut ties with his family, and has taken up residence somewhere in the woods along the lake. He hunts and does small odd jobs for the more private residents, and spends a lot of time with Lawrence Novac, the town's notorious crazy person.
