Shadowport was original a human town, now in the territory of the Dwarven Kingdom. It is the alleged seat of power of the Shadow Prince. It's split into many districts, the five biggest ones beeing controlled by crime families, who's council also serves as the city's leadership.

The five districts are:

Architechture

The architecture would be a lot of tall but narrow buildings with the first floor primarily made from stone and the higher storage added later from wood and plaster on brickwork.

Built by humans in the past the town doesn't immediately strike you as part of the dwarven kingdom. The buildings are pretty dirty and their colors dull, but carry almost surprisingly many windows. The glass industry must be going well.

Interesting locations in ShadowPort:

The lighthouse, named Cold Gates

Is a tall square building by the coast. It looms high above all the other buildings in Shadow ports and has an ever burning flame in the lantern room. It's the oldest still standing structure in Shadow port and it shows as part of the stone works have withered away. It’s under constant repair.

The River Market

Located by the river Hizan in Elm Hill district, has a lot of pickpockets but not so many beggars.

There are spherical stones that line the beach right outside Shadowport. They reach up to over 2 meter in diameter and have been compared to everything from the marbles of giants to colossal dragon eggs or half-submerged prehistoric turtles, ready to stand up and shake off the sand at any moment.

The restless huntsman

The Tavern called The restless huntsman is a stone-walled building almost completely covered by decorative runes carved all over the fasade. It has unexpectedly high ceilings, almost as if it used to have a uperfloor that has been taken out. A dragon's skull hangs over the hearth that the owner claims to be genuine, but nobody has been allowed to check the authenticity of it. It is located in the South District along the main road that splits the South district from Elm Hill. Owner: Carac Pebbleback, dwarf, with a very long beard and hair. His left eye is completely white and has no sight.

The red light district

... in Smoke Road follows all along the docks. The name, Smoke road, is a relic from back when a lot of crafting requiring hot ferneses took place here. Now it's more of an abandoned factory region embraced by the people who really sees the beauty of the old brickwork, decorating most of it in a retro feeling. At night is when the red district really lights up with “grounded fireworks”, like fountains that emit showers of sparks several feet in the air, almost rivaling the lighthouse like a siren calling sailors to their doom. Of course it's nothing quite that sinister as long as you have some nice coins and don't bother pondering about the fact that all brothel's are run by the same organisation. They don't generally shoot off that many fireworks into the sky since this is for the smoke road and not meant for the amusements of others, but to lure them in.The brothel's are sorted by clientele with their most pristine and luxurious close to the river Hizan and become far more cheap and shabby the further up you go.Some brothel's from fine to not so fine:

The Cardinal Casino

The casino called The Cardinal in Elms HillCard games and tossing dice for money is fine but at The Cardinal the stakes are higher than in a common tavern.

The Troll Theater

Located on the main bridge, Hizan Crossing, that connects Elms hill and Ravens Yard.
