Aubentag 5th Nachgeheim

You have breakfast then head on out to the tailors that Uli recommended. Everyone apart form @Corobreth takes the opportunity to get some fine new clothes at Thrumir Bhakdram's expense.

You then make your way through the crowds to the Square of Marshalls to see the next round of challengers to the Graf's Champion. Because of the sunlight you notice a man, incongruously dressed in shining full plate armour, making his way through the crowd (man in plate). He has the air of a man doing his best to look important. He is around 6” tall but is dwarfed by the giant of a man he stops to talk to (big man). The man must be at least another 1/2 foot taller and well built. He seems to sigh as he turns to speak to the man in the armour. The man in armour salutes him in a very elaborate manner and the two exchange a few words. As the armoured man moves off into the crowd, the big man glances upwards and shakes his head.

Todays challenges are over much quicker than the day before and Dieter Schmiedenhammer dispatches his opponents without much showboating.

At the archery tourney, every time Allavandral Fanmaris takes a shot he is heckled by another elf in the crowd (heckling elf). The heckling seems good natired and despite a couple of misses he scores well. Hilda Eysenck scores better than yesterday, though not enough to be in the running for the prize.

After the archery you go to the Royal College of Music to to see the Matinee of Bards and Poets. It is reasonably entertaining and you see Dieter, Allavandrel and the Elf who was heckling him. The other Elf gets up on stage at one point and is well received by the crowd. You go over to talk to Dieter and he's happy to see you. He tells you that the elf on stage is Rallane Lafarel the court minstrel. He also says he is looking forward to getting the last day of challenges out of the way so he can enjoy himself a bit more at the carnival.

As you push your way through the heaving crowds you Templars Arms you pass a group of dwarfs carrying banners and signs with slogans like “No dwarf taxes!” and “Hands of our hard earned money”. Shortly after you reach the Templar’s Arms.

Karl Mattthaus is waiting for you but has no news. He manages to squeeze a 3 shilling retainer out of Ravenclaw Darkwood with a promise to come back information.

After another fine dinner and the remains of the brandy from last night, it's off to bed.
