Arden Seawisp

"Eating well on The Merid Sea sometimes requires a bit of improvisation. Luckily it's only taken two cases of food poisoning to make me good at it." - Arden Seawisp, Cook on the Crooked Narwhal

Arden Seawisp is part of the crew of the Crooked Narwhal and acts as the ships cook. He is easy to talk to and friendly to all and loves meeting new people. He keeps a small garden on board to help keep up his supply of herbs and spices. The skill to maintain such plants in such a bizarre location stems from his family. He grew up a fisherman in the Terrasian (Human) City of the Blue Field which lies where the Bay of Sashelas touches the Plains of Airithterra, right near the inlet from The Merid Sea.

His father was a worker for a local noble, and served as groundskeeper and the nobles primary fishmonger, while his mother was a mori'runde from the Qire'taure who had traveled to the City of the Blue Field on official business, but ending up staying for love. It was she who taught him techniques of the wood elves for growing things in harsh conditions, while his father taught him how to prepare and serve fish in what he called "the family tradition".

Fate eventually led him out to sea, where both skills made him valuable to the ships he served on. To date he has sailed with the Crooked Narwhal for three years.

When his crew attempted a doomed rescue of their captain, Arden perished during intorgation by the Rift Syndicate on the Isle of K'nar.

Pestra Marrowspit

"Shout your wishes into the tides, and luck may find you. Be wary of the voices who call back though, for any deal the Marrowspit Matron offers will come with a steep price." -Folklore of Myriad Island Settlements

Hideous in appearance, the emaciated barely feminine form walks towards you with a crooked spine. Patches of scales shimmer in the light, their sight makes you feel as if you were listening to baby bunnies slowly die. Her crooked head stairs at you with glassy dead eyes. Thin tangled hair of kelp hang off her head, partially covering her mangled face.

Pestra Marrowspit is a sea hag that lives near one of the Myriad Islands in The Merid Sea but often extends her influence to the northern shores of Prim'terra and sometimes the southern shores of Perluxia
