Vander Greatoak

Vander was a Wood Elf member of the Sylvan Hunt. Raised in a reclusive Sylvan enclave within the Stillwood Forest, Vander learned all he knows from the order of the Sylvan Hunt. After coming of age, Vander explored the expanses of the Feywild after unwittingly feeling the blighted presence of Primarch Prometheus corrupting its natural state. Following an interplanar trail of destruction, Vander found his way to the city of Shariz after following an aloof Satyr named Bong Bong traversing The Sarranid Desert. Discovering the civilization of Humans living within the desolate dune sea, Vander took a keen interest in the Emris Adventuring Guild and its exploits across the lands of Osira. Vander then decided to join the guild for a time and aide the band of adventurers known as The Sunsations in their quest to discover more about the obscured history of Osira... Finding company and traveling with The Sunsations, Vander joined the Great Northern Voyage in search of the Runewrights mysterious fate. Aiding in the Cold-Front Confrontation along the way, Vander grew close with his adventuring companions as they ventured to the northernmost reaches of Osira. Despite the great strides made, it was to ill fate that Vander would never see this voyage through. After coming into contact with the veiled hag, Esmerelda Honning, he fell under her spell as she placed a voodoo hex on him; to find her husbands killer or be killed himself. Returning to the Emerald Estate, she revealed her devilish trap as she ambushed The Sunsations and ultimately killed Vander after he bartered his life to save his friends, Shanara the Salamander and Alan Greentree.
