Lagatpulgoruz

Country

Lagatpulgoruz is a country on the continent of Tide. After the fall of Konungdómr, the southern peninsulas were ceded to The Tribes, and hard borders were formed to prevent incursions into what is now Theder.

Geography

Lagatpulgoruz is in the south west corner of Tide, and is bordered by Theder to the north and east; the Stormcrag and Southdrake mountain ranges provide a natural barrier between the kingdoms. The climate is temperate but wet all year round in the north and east, and more arid in the west.

Demographics

  • Bugbear (Uncommon): Bugbears are uncommon in Lagatpulgoruz, and mostly hold command of small goblin tribes
  • Dragonborn (Very Rare): Dragonborn sometimes find their way into Lagatpulgoruz, sometimes they rise to the status of warlord, and other times they're forced to fight as slaves
  • Dwarf (Rare): Dwarves are not welcome in Lagatpulgoruz. Some small resilient pockets still make their homes in the The Stormcrag Mountains to the north
  • Elf (Very Rare): Elves are not welcome in Lagatpulgoruz. There are tales of outcast Drow attaching themselves to tribes who value magic, but even this is rare
  • Goblin (Abundant): Goblins are abundant across the entire country
  • Goliath (Very Rare): Goliaths are rare in Lagatpulgoruz but sometimes outcasts join orc tribes where their strength is well valued
  • Half-Elf (Very Rare): Elves are not welcome in Lagatpulgoruz, and by extension half-elves are also rejected – orcs see no difference between the races
  • Half-Orc (Common): Half-Orcs are common throughout Lagatpulgoruz, where their intelligence over the orcs in their tribes gives them an edge
  • Hobgoblin (Uncommon): Hobgoblins are uncommon in Lagatpulgoruz, and mostly hold command of goblin tribes
  • Human (Rare): Humans don’t often venture into the Orc country. Those who do are often outcasts, mercenaries, or barbarians
  • Kobold (Rare): Kobolds are rare in Lagatpulgoruz, prefering not to align themselves with orcs and goblinoids. Those who do reside here are normally in service of a dragon, or living underground
  • Orc (Abundant): Orcs are abundant across the entire country
  • Tiefling (Very Rare): Tieflings are rare in Lagatpulgoruz but can live a life of luxury if they find themselves attached to a fiend-worshipping tribe
  • Tortle (Very Rare): Tortles can hold their own in Lagatpulgoruz but the relatively chaotic nature of the country is unattractive to them. Braver explorers might spend a short amount of time among quieter tribes
