The party headed to the remains of the village of Merton’s Well. They found the village was under assault by creatures from another realm. They encountered darkness in a creature-like form after Nanashi cast the spell and it took on its own power. They found a portal to the Shadowfell, ended an attempt to channel energy from the Negative Plane to the Material Plane, and recovered several items from the Cult of Atropus, as well as two recovering cultists.
