The party traveled to Oakridge, where they learned of the problems it is facing. They spoke with Hadrin and Matthew at the Triad Temple. They set out to investigate the newly formed cave into the darkness below the village, on the way pausing and Wishing for an oak tree to Awaken. It was offered various names, settling on the simple one of 'Oak'. The tree told them of corruption in the forest, but was unable to give specifics. They rested, and the next day began their trek into the caves. Using the knowledge gained by Finn scouting, they quickly found their way down into the Underdark. They discovered an area with strange effects on magic and an old dwarven ruin. Inside, they found that drow had set up a camp with an abberation guard.
