The above party tracked down the mages lair, after following the trail of a group of demons they slayed that were running amok on the road. The group was not in time to save the lives of the apprentices, who had all been twisted into various demonic monstrosities by their hubris. They cleaved their way through the tainted halls, slaying the former apprentices to gain the incantations for the entrance to the final room of their enclave. Within, they found that the last apprentice had been barely holding a huge demon restrained with his magics in a battle of wills, but it had finally broken free and slaughtered him. The adventurers fought an arduous battle against the monster, which summoned reinforcements, however, they eventually triumphed, releasing the Abyss's hold on that place.
Key Moments - Eldrin killed the goddam end boss anticlimactically and ignominously with 4 damage from a Thunderwave. - Redarmande was nearly insta-killed by a Chasme, 5 damage away from it.
