  • The party left Wachterhaus for Saint Andral's Church. Once there, they informed Izek Strazni and Baron Vargas Vallakovich that Lady Fiona Wachter asked the group to assassinate the Burgomaster. After gathering more information, the Baron made sure that the group understood they were talking about a penalty of execution. When the Baron asked about his son Victor, the group let him know there was a problem with a faulty teleportation spell and that his son was...gone and possibly dead. The Burgomaster didnt seem to understand the implication and acted as though his son was probably fine. He sent Izek and another guard to go to the Burgomaster's Mansion to investigate. The Baron thanked the group for saving him and his wife and helping rid the town of the Vampire Spawn. He let the group know they were forgiven of their sins against the town so long as they didnt take advantage. Father Petrovich was asked by the group to help clarify a small symbol on their map. He relayed a story he once heard about some sort of supernatural elk or stag that was sometimes spotted across the lake. This was usually accompanied by flashes of lighting near the shores.
  • The group took Ireena Kolyanovich with them to the nearby Glades River Encampment to stay under the safety of the Vistani. At the camp, they were fed and sheltered, as always. During their time resting, Carýll was able to read some more of Van Richten's Guide to Monster. Caleb Willowgast took the time to attune to the Tome of Strahd and while flipping through the pages, the group experienced some sort of shared vision...or maybe even a warning... Upon waking, Iolas was now also attuned to the Gulthias Staff, and the group discussed if it should be destroyed or not.
  • The adventurers left in the morning to make the trip to The Wizard of Wines Winery before eventually going to Yester Hill. On the trail, they encountered the stench of death as they ran into the remaining bloody pieces of the traders that Vasili von Holtz let them know about. Some investigation lead to the discovery that these travelers were attacked and partially consumed by a group of wolves. In the cart they were able to find Vasili's ledger he asked about, as well as some coins and a beautiful magical plate armor with electric abilities that Wagner happily donned. Pushing onward, they were again stopped on the road, this time by a bright flame, soaring through the sky. A fiery black horse with a dusk elf rider landed in front of the group, and off that horse stepped Rahadin. He bowed and hand-delivered an invitation to the group. A very special invitation indeed - to dine with Lord Strahd von Zarovich himself, the ruler of Barovia.
