Good morning Tilley!

Woke up a bit late today, but nothing too bad - sleeping in is always nice, especially on a rainy day like this. Sadly Gina was already out by then, but she had already given Lizzle and Min their medicine. When I went downstairs Ms. Toolie was already making some delicious-smelling ginger stew for lunch, and said Gina was already out running some errands. She also mentioned that Lady Trudgeon needed some help with some animals in Carrot's Head garden, so I figured I should go help her out before she asks for Harris' help. Before heading out I recommended she add some rosemary to the stew, to tone down a bit of the ginger's sharpness.

On the way to the orphanage I passed by the market, where Garret called me to stop by his stall. He let me try some delicious new goat cheese, that he said had some rosemary in it, but I'm pretty sure it was a mix of thyme and sage. Either way, it was an amazing cheese and I told him that he must deliver some of it to the tavern. Garret still hasn't made any progress on acquiring any donkey cheese, but he did mention placing an order for some interesting sounding camel cheese from Medina. I still don't get why it's so hard to find good milkdonkeys here in the material plane, they're everywhere in the Feywild - but I'm sure the wait is worth it, the humans of this town will explode when they get a taste of some good ol' Honeyflower Farms donkey cheese.

Heading back out I saw Margaret talking to some lady at the edge of the market, but sadly they were both gone by the time I reached where they were standing. I still don't know that lady's name, I only saw her a couple of times around town, but we never actually got to talk. I should try to strike a conversation at some point.

As I entered Carrotward I ran into Potin' who was in the middle of a round of hide and seek. He wasn't doing a very good job at hiding, talking to me out in the open, but we found a nice barrel to hide behind in a nearby alley. Thankfully Potin' reminded me to hide my ears, otherwise we would have been spotted immediately. To make sure the seeker, Jack, couldn't find us, I created a cover of fog around the alley. Just as I planned, it took quite a while for Jack to decide to come in, and when he finally did, I came out and said that he found me - leaving Potin' hidden and guaranteed to win!

With victory firmly secured, I continued on to the orphanage. When I arrived Lady Trudgeon said that there's some small animal infestation in the inner garden, so I went to take a look. Turns out there was a small family of moles living under the garden, chewing down the tree and digging up the grass. I talked to to one of them called Wetnose, who apparently has no idea what ears are, but somehow has heard of unicorns and knows what they're like. Anyway, I agreed with Wetnose that I would help him and his family move to the Elston Greens after dark, so as to avoid running into too many people on the streets.

After helping Wetnose and Lady Trudgeon (and saving Wetnose and his family from potentially meeting Harris Yorehil), I went back to the inn. Gina was sleeping by the fireplace, while Ms. Toolie warmed me up a nice bowl of her delicious new stew. Turns out almost everyone loved it, and rosemary was definitely the right choice! Ms. Toolie showed me what she was working on: she's knitting Gina and me a pair of scarves to keep us warm in the winter! She really is too nice, I can't believe she would go out of her way to do something so nice for us, especially when she's always so busy around the tavern.

After Ms. Toolie went up to bed I fetched Gina's blanket from our room and tucked her in nice and warm. She mumbled something, probably still in her dream, and her nose twitched as I covered her. It's a cold, rainy night, but thankfully the fire is always warm here in the Ms. Toolie's inn.

A Sunlit Hunt

Feywild

A few years ago, Gina and I were out in the woods by the farm, chasing butterflies with the kits. It was nice and relaxing as usual, until at some point I smelled something really bad. Gina smelled it to, so we decided that I'd go check it out while she stayed with the kits. We also asked the butterflies to disperse, just to make sure none of the kits tried chasing after one of them into harm's way.

I followed the scent into a nearby patch of the woods, where four wolves lay dying on the ground, pierced by arrows. I was about to approach them, to see if I could help in any way, when an arrow flew right past my ear. A group of Eladrin were there, and they declared that the land belonged to them and to the summer court. I seriously doubted that to be the case, because we were there for quite a long time before them, but they said that they were on a hunt, and that they would hunt me if I didn't leave.

I was going to say something else, but then the leader of the group went up and slit the throat of the last wolf that was still breathing, and I woke up.
