Personal servant of Durinya Chesa.

Born to in a cryptic enclave of Tabaxi in the Torholds, he was captured and sold into slavery by the orc chieftain Bolmegar.  When it was discocvered that Thrale was a fast runner, he was conscripted into gladiatorial racing, where competitors were given small weapons with which to discourage other racers.

Thrale survived for three years as an undefeated runner.   While in his captivity, he was converted to the Church of Ilmater

In 660 An, a trading delegation from Hatterwol, accompanied by a wing of Legion IX, was attacked by orcs en route to Mamot Tor.  The attack was repulsed, and the commanding officer, Duratea Eaduega Campu, elected to pursue the retreating orcs in a punitive measure.  Although the attacking band was not related in any way to Bolmegar, they retreated to his fortress of Felag, which fell after two days' heavy fighting.

Among the residents of Felag were various slaves and captives held for gladiatorial games, one of whom was Thrale.

Overwhelmed at his liberation, he vowed to serve Duratea, and was assigned by her to be a servant-without-portfolio to her youngest sister.
