The 5 Phoenix Princesses are known to be the most magic heavy of the remaining factions. They represent the 5 base elements: earth (chi), water (sui), fire (ka), wind (fu), and void (ku).
The Princesses have so far seemingly managed to stay out of major confrontations by deploying extreme magic force in select encounters. They quickly took a piece of mainland of Panjo with a port-city sheltered by a mountain range.
The sheltered port-city kept them in touch with the islands in their domain. Early in the civil-war the Princesses carved out their territory and informed its inhabitants that magic was the future of the country. Those without the ability to use magic would be second-rate citizens in their domain, and many made the choice to leave the Phoenix Princesses - pride hurt beyond the point of reconciliation. Those who changed their mind after facing the horrors of the civil war and returned found that the gates were closed.
