#12 - A message and a deal

PC Post - Beezil Yip Yip

Location: The Western Forest of Belhaven

Beezil smiled wide and let out a little sigh as Essie agreed. He still wasn't too sure this was the wisest course of action, but the little kobold was pretty sure the next step was to jump Essie and hogtie the girl to his new steed and Beezil wasn't entirely sure Yaffle would have agreed either.

"YAY!" Beezil yipped. "Beezil promises, we get our stuff and go see Salty now, Salty this way... Then we go on quest!"

Beezil took a few moments to gather up some of the goblin weapons and equipment that Salty might be interested in buying. Beezil knew that Salty would give him only a few coins...if anything, but Beezil didn't want the remaining goblins or anyone else to get the weapons, and Salty would at least dispose of them for Beezil.

Giving Essie a small, makeshift bundle to carry, before slinging one over his own shoulder, the two set off through the woods.

"So, what else does Essie know about Da Boss Draggin? Where we gonna go?"

As they walked, Essie shrugged, “He only pointed me in a direction to start in. That and that I would be protected by his ‘chosen,’ a dragon with a pure heart against all odds.”

They reached the place where Salty had dropped Beezil off near the forest and found him loading the last of the firewood. As he saw the little kobold and human girl he smiled and waved.

“I see my little friend has once again become the champion of the weak and forgotten. See that you found your little girl that you sought. This is good. We can go home now?”

Beezil shook his head and began laying out the things he had found off of the goblins.

"Salty is good friend." Beezil said to Essie as he made introductions. "Essie is lost girl that Beezil finds. Want Salty to take message to Mum and Da; tell them girl is safe and with Beezil. Beezil takes girl to help her so she stops running away an' we come back soon."

Beezil motioned to the items he got off the goblins.

“Also, Salty know anything about these or want to buy any?”

The old gnome sigh and began to pick things over. “Your dolly is probably something from a child, worthless now. The sand is, well sand and that’s the same with the necklace. Probably trophies from kills.”

He then picked up the stone and his eyes widened slightly. “Now this, this isn’t your everyday bauble. This is something I ain’t seen since my days as an adventurer up in da north near da Pride. Da bubbas called them hearthstones. The produce light an enough warmth to keep a person comfortable when the weather turns bitter cold.”

Salty held it out to Beezil, “You should be keepin tis one Beez, ya never know when a lil light and heat would come in handy.”

Beezil took the stone back at Salty motioned to the other things and the weapons. “It ain’t much attall, dop I’ll give ya a gold because we’re being good friends and I’ll deliver yer message fer free.”

Essie smiled and clapped her hands. “You have a deal. Now we can leave. Come Yappy, Beezie.”

She turned and started back towards the forest. Beezil sighed as he nodded to Salty.

“Salty have any extra foods and stuffs we can use?”

The old gnome nodded and tossed Beezil a small backpack. “Should give ya a few days till you find a place to get better and more tings.”
