Neverdeath Events

An uprising stirred up by a lich agent of Szass Tam called Valindra Shadowmantle. Who persuaded both the High Priest and Chief Paladin of the Church of Kossuth to desecrate the Neverdeath Graveyard to raise an army of minion to take control of Thay.

Although this take-over was eventually stopped after the High priest was killed in combat. The Chief Paladin Dayton and the remainder of his order were never found. It is unclear what became of them and further records of his past achievements have been destroyed as the Church of Kossuth ended up in further decline.

PRIVATE RECORDS:

Rasul was born into a typical family of the time in Thay. His father was a brave and respected knight, and his mother a beloved cleric who tended to the needs of the people. Rasul was groomed to follow in his father's footsteps and become a knight himself, but he had a darker calling. His family prayed that he would find his path in life, but it ended up being a path of destruction.

At the tender age of 15, Rasul was recruited by a Death Knight, who promised him power and glory. Rasul accepted and was trained in the dark arts by his new master. With the power of necromancy, Rasul quickly rose through the ranks of the undead, and soon became a powerful and feared Knight of Thay.

For years, Rasul fought in wars and spread terror throughout the lands. He was sometimes a hero, sometimes a villain, but always he was feared. Eventually, he found himself at a crossroads. He could either continue down his path of destruction and damnation or he could embrace a new calling and use his powers for the good of others.

Rasul chose the latter and renounced the necromancy he had been taught. He devoted himself to protecting the innocent and helping those in need. He found a balance between the two sides inside of him. He was respected and admired by all who met him, despite his past. Rasul eventually became a powerful paladin and was generally considered a hero. He used his powers and talents to protect the innocent and challenge the forces of evil. For many years he served faithfully.

Paladin Rasul broke his oath when he helped raise an army of the undead, his exact reasoning still unknown. Breaking the circle of life and death was a major offense. And the Church of Kossuth in the Sword Coast denounced him afterwards.

A warning to all though: Although his current whereabouts are unknown, he is still a paladin, but he is no longer allowed to serve as one due to the severity of his actions. He has been stripped of all his paladin titles and privileges, and is now known as an Oathbreaker
Let this be a warning though, that this man in his prime was a fierce combantant and  that he should not be triffled with who trained amongst the mightiest of the Thayian army.
