The name Lormanston is one commonly known across the Dawnreach kingdom. An old name with a lot of history and culture that added to the makeup of the Dawnreach people to this day.

Mornington Lormanston is one of six siblings in the 11th generation of the Lormanston lineage. A family name that has been in a privileged position for a little over 200 years. But the height of this families fame and fortune seem like a dust ridden memory at this point.

Mornington had a promising childhood, a great student and a quick learner, he excelled in many areas and adopted the families culture and interest in the arts. He became a great musician and revelled in history, and wanted to travel like his father before him. His family had housed numerous artists, musicians, jousters, acrobats, philanthropists, military leaders, you name it and there was likely a tale or many of the deeds of his family.

But sadly, at the age of twelve, many of Morningtons ambitions were dampened when his father, Alfard Lormanston, died mysteriously. With the nation drawn into conflict his father was killed under unusual circumstances before a key battle against zealot forces from Hestrounia. With his father gone, and Mornington's uncle Ailward now head of the family, Mornington turned to drinking and whoring in his teenage years, becoming disassociated from his family who found this behaviour troubling.

The Lormanston's status in Dawnreach has now got worse. The families deep pockets have a few holes and the lavish over spending of the current generation have put the Family, especially Ailward, into a tricky position. As head of the family, he loses himself in the book keeping, trying to keep his children in line, as well as his brother's. For one day they will inherit the families legacy.

Mornington now finds himself wanting to make change, and under the suggestion of his uncle wishes to travel to the Kingdom of Guradam to rekindle family connections. His aunt Rine Mordred married into a powerful family in the new frontier kingdom and her daughter Bella Mordred has been promised in marriage to another family in Guradam.

Mornington sought passage to the new land, taking with him a prized family heirloom, a gilded chalice used in marriage ceremonies. Will he be a welcomed guest by his estranged family? Will he restore his family honour? Will he bring a new time of prosperity to his family and kin? Only the new frontier can answer such questions.

Home to the noble family of the Capstan's, this keep sits on the North-East perimeter of the Village of the Dancing Fish. It is built upon a rocky outcropping that elevates it above the surrounding farmland and has a draw bridge that reaches over to a large ramp that leads up to the main castle gate. When the draw bridge is up it is efficient fortification with no easy point of entry for an assault.
