Welcome to our first community event for September 2021!

For this event, we're curious about what deterrent a nation in your world is using to avoid being conquered by a bigger and stronger neighbour. Do they have nuclear warheads? An important holy site? Places bombs in every factory and under every bridge crossing into the country? Do they use some fancy diplomacy, or a web of spies to gather intelligence? Have neighbours tried but failed? Ultimately, we want to know why a country exists in your world when it on paper shouldn't.

As previously the winner will not only have the right to be on the jury for the next contest, but will also get a brand new Wordsmith Discord role and will have their campaign featured on our featured campaigns for a month!

PS: non-english submissions will be reviewed using online translation tools which can dilute the quality of your submission.
