GM notes
**Session zero minutes:**
Getting to know eachother
Vinnie (Any) loves Ten Candles, experienced in dozens of systems.
ADHD-brain. Forgets. Forgets to pay attention at times. Don't take it personal please.
Laurens (He/Him) PbtA but also likes D&D and Fiasco.
Ecchima/Aurelie (They/Them) D&D - Fairy Corgi Steeple Chase
Dins/Antje (Any but She/They default) D&D - Star Wars - Lancer
Kloë (She/Her) forever DM (D&D) Seventh Sea - Numenera
Tom (He/Him) D&D mainly, also Call of Ctlhu -nostalgic factor for D&D
Slightly Autistic, difficulties with names
Céline (She/Her) no experience except for a oneshot
Autistic and ADHD, overly stimulated at times. If silent, don't ask.
Practical stuff
We play on thursdays and play on even if one person is absent (GM ofcourse excluded).
If there's two persons missing, the GM decides wether or not to go on.
If three are missing or the GM is absent, Kloë volunteered to do a oneshot.
Missing players can appoint someone to take over their character of default it to the GM
If you are absent for only a minute, a 'brb' in chat suffices.
For longer breaks, just ask. Laurens will often need to do parenting stuff. We strive to take a break then but Laurens is ok with us playing on as well. We'll try to remind him of what has happened then.
What's on foundry counts. We use DnD beyond to level our character, add spells, ... We manage characters on foundry. DM wil update them.
Kloë wants to take notes for us but also created a Wiki we can all add stuff too. Don't read characters backgrounds there unless it's one your PC would know or you're good at avoiding metagaming.
Death is a possibilty. Vinnie wants to be brutal for once, but can't if that means a character death every other minute. After some discussion we came up with this solution: when (not if :p) your character dies in game, you get the opportunity to receive a Dark Gift in stead; a thematic injury sustained during your ressurection by an entity unknown. You're never obliged to take it. intelligent and cruel creatures will kill unconsious characters if it narratively makes sense, so be warned!
During levelling, you may reroll all 1's for hp.
Houserules are available on the landing page. Review the Lines and Veils at times, please.
Backstory
Patreon: Duvessa Shane (LG)
Speaker Duvessa Shane of Bryn Shander wants to preserve the unity of Bryn Shander and Ten Towns as a whole. She's particularly worried about the Cult of the Frostmaiden gaining influence. If you choose this option, how did you all meet up?
Duvessa got saved by Lachlann (yeti attack) and they asked him to help er out with the patron stuff. Lachlann brought Evra because he had to take his mom. And his half-foster-sister Yukon joined too, of course.
Shifter lives in the woods and is seen as a true asset to Ten-Town because of his magical abilities. The Head of the council beseeched him to help the community with certain tasks.
Talon's shop isn't doing well so he travelled to Bryn shander to find out how to rid Ten-Towns of the Frostmaiden. There he got in contact with the speeker who smiled at his request. "Please join us", she said, as she led him in to a room filled with strangers.
Constance was sent to the Speaker by her close frenemy Mishann, the cleric of the House of the Morninglord. This was ofcourse just a means to get rid of her.
