Nerd from the egg, excelled in school, a failure in most other regards;

Doctoral dissertation, "Thaumaturgical variations in output derived from basal geologic mana" tabulates methods of recording the output of magical spells on a variety of geological materials, eschewing soils for solid stone of various origins;

While working on his doctoral dissertation, Nedd was captured by an ogre clan, and enslaved for a year.  As part of a torture, a magical experiments were performed upon him by the ogre Arch-Druid Gnagu, that caused Nedd to grow a second pair of arms.  He was eventually rescued by The Legion of Hatterwol expeditionary units, commanded by Génadéu Campu, father of Zuéu Toru Campu, and grandfather of Eubaldu Nomu Campu. 

His brother, Deepthaniel Spugniard "Spud" Baulque is also a geomancer, and is the director of the Big Dig in Rastenfeld.

On sabbatical from the Rastenfeld Vocational Technical College of Masonry & Brickwork ("Go, Fighting Badgers!"), Our Lady Saint Ognathrice of The Holy Pluton School of Geomancy, where he is the Affiliate Resident Professor of Earth Magic.

During his well-deserved year off, he is researching local Ambehgriçi magic traditions as relate to geology.
