In the aftermath of the Session 56: Battle at the Howling Jaws Woodsworth Moure spend several days performing some rite to preserve the bodies of the fallen Vaelhrathi. Reiga, the cleric of the Dawnlight Inquisition was questioned by Woodsworth about his connection and history with Harold. He halfheartedly shot back at the caretaker, accusing him of lying to the Vaelhrathi about raising the dead to life. Ripley became frustrated with what she saw as smug hypocrisy from the wary cleric, and stormed off after pointing one of her strange weapons at his head.

Woodsworth explained how long his task would take, and implored the party to consider any business they may wish to conduct during this time. Cleis Frostclaw wished to be dropped off at Udrodzid to help with its excavation until the raising of the Vaelhrathi was concluded. The rest of the party had a tiring 19 and a half hour journey back to Dubkov, arriving in the evening. As the sun faded on the horizon, Woodsworth and J'ack Rameur made their way to the Fragment of Creation (Octahedral Crystallizer), making some pains to hide their actions from Ripley. Feeding the armor of Harold into the crystalizer Woodsworth focused and concentrated, hoping to conjure the rare oils he would need to potentially revive his fallen friend. Meanwhile J'ack decided to distract Ripley by asking her to shoot him.

After 8 grueling hours of concentration Woodsworth seemed to almost give up, wondering if perhaps he should have conjured precious pearls to trade for the oils instead. After his lapse in concentration he heard a noise and found a jar of oil in the compartment under the crystalizer. Woodsworth enlisted the aid of the new Appraiser, Echur, in order to measure out 1000gp worth of the oil for his ritual. While bemused and suspicious, she obliged. Afterward Woodsworth enlisted help in carrying Xael's fallen form to the fo'c'sle of The Discovery to begin.

Woodsworth gave a grand speech to the gathering crowd, speaking of the great deeds of the fallen as he began to cast his spell. What could only be described as a miracle happened next-rising from both Xael's body and the bowl of oil, a vaguely humanoid figure was formed. Over the next hour the figure slowly roiled and became more distinct as it took a final form. After an hour that seemed like an eternity, Xael stood before the party, now in a reptilian form (with a hooge tail). His memory seemed to slightly suffer, and he found his new body to be awkward, but he was back.

Xael complained of the cold, finding his resurrection and new form exhausting. Ripley decided to open her services as a magic item crafter to Woodsworth and his crew. Woodsworth, taking a risk, decided to show Ripley the crystalizer, hoping that her background as a crafter would allow her to produce the oil with more efficiency. As she focused on the task Woodsworth noticed a magic sensor in the room, spying on them. Xael and the caretaker attempted to distract and block the sensor while Ripley worked.

After an hour and 15 minutes Ripley's task was complete, many wax-sealed jugs of oil stood neatly on the floor. As Xael and the rest of the party winded down to rest, they prepared for the journey that awaited them, the journey back to the Howling Jaws.
