Aprendió a luchar, y se hizo experto en el rastreo y la exterminación de chupasangres. Junto a sus amigos Arthur y Quincey formó a la organización militar de los Gallowglass, de la que aún forma parte. A pesar de su rango de oficial y sus numerosas lesiones, nunca se pierde una misión de campo.

But he had to accept that her friend, her lover, her youthful obsession was no longer any of that: she was a monster, and as such she acted.
The discovery of the new nature of Lucy and, at the same time, of the entire underworld of horrendous creatures that populated the cities, caused a profound change in the life of this scattered and lost young man. He suddenly saw himself insignificant and sunk in that city, of which he had previously felt boss; a new purpose, firm and burning, was created inside him.
The first vampire he ever killed was Lucy. The memory of that act never ever abandoned his dreams.
He learned to fight, and became adept at tracking down and killing bloodsuckers. Together with his friends Arthur and Quincey he formed the Gallowglass military organization, where he currently works and dedicates his life to. Despite his officer rank and his numerous battle injuries, he never misses a field mission.
