"Sylynor steps out of the temple into a small plaza and dock rising up into... nothing. A small rowboat with two frilled sails made of thin mithril foil extend outwards like fins. The boat is attached via an iron ring to a silk rope that extends outwards far into the distance. A distance that gives way to a sight unlike any he has ever seen. To say the view is disorienting would be an understatement. There is no horizon, no water beneath him, no anything besides an infinite sea of stars. Just above him a massive iron chain connects this mountain sized rock floating in the void to a cracked and destroyed planet the size of a small moon in the distance. The inner core on display and glowing bright as it seems to have suffered some ancient cataclysm. As he looks around it is clearly night however the sun seems much farther away, about 1/10th the size it should be. The air here is uncomfortably cold. In the distance, dozens of other similarly mountain sized rocks orbit the destroyed moon, all held together by impossibly large iron chains. Over fifty ships of varying sizes travel between the rocks, ranging from small skiffs to massive galleons that fly in this void propelled by fire. Most of them are docked at the much larger asteroid the skiff leads to, serving as some sort of hub to the smaller ones in this cluster of the orbit. One ship docked dwarfs the others, larger than any galleon or barge. The vista is something out of a dream, or nightmare made real. To make it worse, in the distance one of the asteroids has something sticking out of it that catches his eye: a tower. A very familiar tower. In the opposite direction of the sun, the stars are suspended in a purple nebula that swirls with various color. And far far in the distance past the moon, a massive crack in this nebula glows equally as bright as the sun. The Polestar is not just the name of this shattered moon, but from the impact it must have made to whatever that boundary in the distance is." -Maia, #somewhere-else.

The Polestar is the fortress of Claugiyliamatar (pronounced: CLOG-ee-lee-uh-MAT-ar), an ancient green dragon and Queen of the Viridian Corsairs. Here she and her children wait, scheming and planning in the stars far about Toril. Their plans are unknown to most, and the defenses make attacking the Polestar akin to suicide.
