A bustling port town, Mergorod used to be an enormous slave camp and the seat of power of the Dorwin rulers. Ships would bring in slaves and refugees from Karkarand and Imland, who would be put to work throughout Dorion.
Now, it is a major trading city-state. Fishermen bring in fresh yields from the Foaming Sea, which are then traded with other cities at a premium. Lumber and ore sent down the Lohtara and processed and shipped from the city.
It also houses representatives of each city-state, in an effort to pose a unified front against threats from Dorwin.
It is from here that a fledgling navy tries to gain control of the Foaming Sea.
