Lord of Death
Deity

The keeper of the domain of Death. Not seen as an evil deity; his role is also that of a keeper of balance, and he's generally viewed as a gentle guide into the afterlife. Also known as the Reaper, the Final Judge, the Balancer.

Abrar is often represented in human form as a grim, hooded figure, with a scythe in his hand and a somber expression. He is associated with the raven, a symbol of death and rebirth, and is linked to the afterlife and the balance of life and death.

Places of Worship

Abrar does generally not have dedicated places of worship. However, in any place where the dead rest (mausoleums, tombs, battlefields, graveyards), there tends to be some form of worship to Abrar.

Forms of Worship

Abrar is commonly worshipped through acts of reverence and respect, with devotees tending to the dead and the graves of their ancestors in his honor.

Clerics and priests dedicating their life to Abrar are known as Abrarites or more commonly Gravekeepers.

Their duties vary; most involved tending to the last wishes of the dying and providing burial services to those who died alone. They maintain and watch over places of final rest, and sometimes set out to cure diseases and defend people from monsters so that folk did not die before their time.

Followers

Abrar tends to attract clerics of the Grave, Death, Order & Twilight domains. His paladins tend to be Watchers.

Holy Days

The 28th of Falldawn is known as the Day of the Dead, during which those who have passed that year are commemorated, and Abrar is celebrated as a deity granting guidance and final rest to the departed.
