Known as the First King of Erenen.
Early Life
Amadeus was born in Heaton in 253 as the scion of one of the lesser noble houses. Heaton at the time was not yet the capital of a nation, but a small town functioning more like a city-state. He trained to be in the town guard from an early age. When Amadeus was 15, the Shattered Spear tribe invaded Erenen from Imland. They quickly subjugated the Heaton population and killed the ruling noble house at the time. Amadeus fled from Heaton.
Rebellion
As a refugee, Amadeus wandered Erenen and visited the other regions, and saw what the Shattered Spear brought to bear. During this time, he made many allegiances and friendships that would prove vital later in life.
Starting from age 20 onwards, he started violently resisting the occupying forces, performing hit-and-run strikes on caravans and convoys.
At age 30, he was captured by a Shattered Spear scouting party. During his captivity, he met his future wife, Alma of Westreach. He later managed to escape with her, and in the years that followed, laying low in the Fradon Plains, he fathered 3 children.
Formation of the Shield
Being a father had filled Amadeus with a new sense of purpose - to ensure a free life for his children. He started to gather the allies made during his travels, and formed an official resistance, dubbed simply 'The Shield'.
Wherever the Shattered Spear threatened to strike in retribution against a rebellious populous, the Shield would ride out in their defense.
The War of Shield and Spear
Though the Shield had been in guerilla warfare against the Shattered Spear for decades, it was not until 293 that truly open rebellion broke out, and the Shattered Spear formed more traditional strike forces against defiant settlements. In response, the Shield fielded their own militia, and thus the War of Shield and Spear had begun.
It was during this war that Amadeus proved himself to be an excellent strategist and swordsman, and he earned the respect of his fellow soldiers, who came from different city-states.
The Battle for the Vale
In late 297, the Shield fought the Shattered Spear during their grueling march towards Heaton, the last city to be liberated. This became known as Battle of the Vale. Amadeus's strategy of falling back and letting and letting archers picking off Spear barbarians proved vital in this fight.
Finally, during the First Siege of Heaton, Amadeus managed to breach the city walls and slay Razortooth, the commander of the Shattered Spear forces in Heaton. The rest of the Shattered Spear fled and surrendered shortly afterward.
Coronation
After a long and hard-fought war for freedom, Amadeus Sinask was crowned First King of Erenen and the Founding of Erenen took place.
Later Life
The rule of Amadeus Sinask focused on forming diplomatic relations and building Erenen as a young nation. Under his rule, Erenen saw exponential growth.
Death
Amadeus Sinask passed away peacefully in 339, at age 86. His eldest son Vagran Sinask took the throne after him.
