The Caliphate of Hatterwol is a lineage of Priest-Kings, and supporting cabinet that function as the political rulers of the country. Their rule is generally peaceful self sustaining. The ample resources of the countryside provide a stable lifestyle for the citizenry, and their military forces, The The Legion of Hatterwol, have adequately addressed the limited security threats represented by the The Forsaken Strand and the Torholds.
Society under the Caliphate is predominately tolerant of a diversity of lifestyles, promotes creative and industrial pursuits. Religious freedom is tolerated, though other deities are blatantly positioned as secondary to the devotion to Lugh as the State Religion. All other faiths are required to register with the local Ulema of Lugh representatives.
