It be a beautiful day, nay cloud in da wast sky, gentle breeze caressin’ me skin. Captain Wrasira baskin’ her blue scales in da sun. Davrin da carpenter fixin’ da hull after last week’s storm. Ulmarra in da crow's nest lookin’ fer a ship we be waitin’ fer to liberate its cargo, if ye get me gist. Hehehe. It been a slow day but we dinnay mind, it was nice just to have a moment of our own, away from da port and da chaos of da civilization.
Just then, as da sun been highest in da sky, Ulmarra calls “Captain, ship on da horizon, bears da right flag. It be da merchants we been waitin’ fer!” And so the whole crew woken up and we started moving. We had to be smart bout dis, wait fer them to come closer to us, to not spook them.
So we be waitin’ fer them to come to us, then suddenly bam, their bells go off. They be close enough fer us to hear them shout and panic. A large appendage shoots from da water, then another, and another! It be da KRAKEN!
Shouting, screaming, spells goin’ off, masts getting crashed, crew falling into the deeps. It wrapped its tentacles around their ship and started pullin’ it. Dat fucken thing needed barely a minute to drag da whole ship with its crew down under, may Veil be merciful on their souls. We booked it fer a shore hoping to not get noticed.
Later dat day I overheard Wrasira and Qynora arguin’, da captain was furious, said somethin’ about a deal broken. I never knew what cargo dat merchant ship was movin’, assume it was gold from sellin’ supplies in Havilon, maybe some stuff they were bringin’ back to Hemdall? But by da sound of Wrasira’s voice, it was important to her.
But dat merchant ship, Red Dolphin it was called, be now at da bottom of da sea, no way gettin’ to it now… Maybe we could try get to it ourselves one day!
