Lemme tell ye a story about me mum. Before she came home to Holbeck, settled, made a family and had kids, she was an explorer and adventurer. She be da reason little me wanted to get to Havilon and be an adventurer. She was at Caelfall, a great city at da base of Bellowing Rise by da sea, when she overheard news of an upcoming expedition to an unknown part of the world. Certain Havilal was formin' a group to explore these new parts. Mum signed up immediately.
After landin' at what be now known as Gate of the Clanless they went through The Canyon not knowin' what lives there. Few days went in peace, when suddenly, in the middle of a day a shadow covered the blasting sun. It was just for a split second, but it unnerved everyone as there were nay signs of clouds. Not bein' able to find the source they continue carefully through da canyon.
Few minutes later it happened again, a shadow over their heads. "'Tis but a bird!" someone proclaimed. They were not wrong about what it be, they should have thought about da size too. The bird was gettin' closer and closer, bigger and bigger. It surprised everyone and dat gave the creature enough time to swoop members off the ground like they weighed nothing. Da rest ran to the closest hole they could find and stayed there till it was out of sight.
