Continued from Session 22: Into the Darkness.
Tor'in and Amos left Sana's Sewer workshop to talk to Lady Zara fae'Fournius, leaving Ren, Ragor, and Oak behind with the prisoner. Meriel was still on her way back from her unsuccessful search for Kith.
Tor'in and Amos reached the Wyvern Towers and the Fournius tower. Amos showed Lady Zara the letters they had collected from the prisoner. She did recognize the letters, but did not give any details. Amos explained that they found the letters among the possessions of the murderer, who they had recently apprehended. Amos then asked if anyone had seen Prince Tobias er'Ceasian, looking to confirm the prisoner and Tobias were two different people. Lady Karia Er'Fournius said she had spent time with him that morning and breakfast, and he was in good spirits and did not scratch his arms. Amos wondered if Tobias had ever tried sneaking out of the palace incognito. Lady Zara did not return the letters Amos had given her, but Amos still had a few left.
At Amos's request, Lady Zara sent a message via Speaking stones to the palace for Prince Tobias. She inquired about some tea the family had sent last week, and the response sounded like it was sent from Prince Tobias. Satisfied, Amos and Tor'in left, but Tor'in stopped and talked to the elven head of the kitchen on the way out. Tor'in warned him of possible danger with Lady Karin and Prince Tobias together, but the servant said that Lord Remius er'Fournius was taking the necessary precautions. Captain Nikoros Gaura of the palace guard had been talking to the Fournius family.
The party decides to take their prisoner to the Tradefair Seat of Law. Serjeant Laybeth Crow helps, arriving with two carriages, a few extra constables, and two mages, including Zarin of Bluereed, to escort the prisoner. They sequester the prisoner in a solitary interrogation room in one of the basement levels, and fill in Watch Commander Surt. He is shocked that the prisoner appears to look like Prince Tobias, and sends a message via sending stones to confirm the Prince's whereabouts. He also sends constables to the Welcome Chill to get statements from the witnesses.
