Unknown is named after its most influential Nyktera family, the Moonwings, who were the first to tame the large moths and settle here. Even today, the majority of these respectable riders belong to the family. A large portion of personal villas and establishments situated on the highest Pillars are Moonwing property, though some live on the military Pillar for convenience.
Samira is among the youngest members of this large family, but she inherited her position as the current matriarch when her parents passed away some decades ago. She feels like she is not competent and skillful enough to conduct her duties, but she will never show it. Just like most Nykteras, she cares deeply about hospitality and kindness.
Being a Sylph, she can trace her heritage to a (probably) Djinn. I am toying with the idea that the Vizier featured in the quest A House of Cards was Samira's ancestor.
