Powrie is a Redcap butcher residing in Meridian of the Tanglelight Forest. He runs a slaughterhouse and butcher shop right below Heidrun's kitchens, and thus they are neighbours. His preferred weapon, as a result, is a cleaver, not a scythe, but he also has devilishly sharp specialty knives for preparing meat.

He is abrasive, reclusive and anti-social, limiting contact with other people to the best of his ability. Powrie is happiest when he is left alone to do his job in the deep dark. Powrie restricts his social interactions to the bare minimum, and deposits the meat in the "Deliveries" room of his shop, to be picked up by the customers independently.

Powrie was also affected by the plague of misfortune that was thwarting Midday Meal Mayhem, though he wasn't aware of it for a while.

- The "Staff Only" door of his establishment, which leads to his underground abattoir, had strong Lock enchantments on it, but someone shifted them to the door that leads to Heidrun's kitchen; this resulted in an unfortunate misunderstanding with the group of Adventurers that visited his shop during Taste the Rainbow.

- The meat that he had prepared for Heidrun, made from a lamb that was given by Lamaia, was later spoiled and animated as a modified Carrion Golem, which attacked the party. He tasked them with bringing a replacement animal to him, so that he could prepare more meat for Heidrun, which they did.

GM Notes

- Powrie is the Red Knight's brother. Their parents always compared them, criticising Powrie's position as a mere "pacifist" butcher, while his brother climbed all the way to the rank of a Rainbow Knight.

- The Fey of Meridian have an agreement with him. They provide him with still-living livestock, which he releases into his abattoir, to pursue and slaughter to his cruel heart's content. In return, he can use the animals' blood to keep his red cap always soaked, and doesn't venture into the city to hunt its residents, while providing them with fresh, expertly prepared meat.

- To avoid contact with his clients, and thus the temptation of killing them (and just their general annoyance), Powrie limits his interactions to the bare minimum, and deposits the meat in the "Deliveries" room of his shop, to be picked up by the customers independently.

- Powrie keeps the lobby and the "Deliveries" room clean and tidy; the former is pristine and immaculate, almost clinical. Behind closed doors, his abattoir is the polar opposite - a bloody scene out of a horror story.
