A few years after Volkan appeared on Thylea, he was approached by a detachment of smiths who wished to become to serve him and learn from him.
Unusually for Volkan he agreed and within a few short years he taught the master-smiths advanced metalworking techniques. They forged weapons for The Five Gods until the Unknown were overrun and the forge fires were extinguished.
