The three key characters of the history of House Kon, left to right: Fylson Kon, Queen Alia Kon, and Queen/Count Saahia Kon

In the Fourth Age, the Elvish adventurer Fylson Kon set out from the hallowed forest of Leorbar to make his fortune in the wider world. He found himself stranded in the Dune Sea of the Ba'hram Desert, where he was rescued by a Badawi Nuqab. He and his descendants lived amongst them for many years, until his great-granddaughter Alia Kon was exiled from the tribe during a succession dispute. She and her followers wandered until they found an unclaimed oasis near the edge of the desert and build the town of Ajran. For several centuries, Al-Buq was ruled as an independent kingdom from Ajran. However, as the Pelegonic Conquest made its way to the desert, the then-reigning Queen of Al-Buq Saahia Kon knelt before Kolramite Emperor Dwin II and became the Count of Al-Buq.
