The Kolram Republic is a minor state located in the former Riverlands. Refounded as the Second Kolram Empire by Galka the Infinite, the death of Emperor Frig III in V 309 led to an extended regency until a republic was officially declared in V 389. Kolram was the only state in the Riverlands to survive the Pelegonic Conquest and is often nicknamed the Last of the River Kingdoms.
Government
Kolram is governed as a directorial noble feudal republic, with the different feudal realms of the Republic sending a representative to the Realm Council, which acts with executive and legislative power. Each feudal realm is governed by nobles through hereditary duchies and counties, thereby leading some to describe the republic as a "republic of monarchies."
