The Exile of the Elves occurred when the Three Great Elvish Kings led most of the Elves away from the Deshenite Kingdom to beg forgiveness from the Gods and resettle their people away from Deshen

Deshen's Blasphemies had troubled many within his realm, and there were multiple exiles over time, however none were as great as the Exile of the Elves. Shortly after Deshen's First Sin, the three greatest of the Elves met in secret and elected to lead their people into the forbidden wilds to beg forgiveness from the Gods and resettle their people. They foresaw the wrath which Deshen would bring upon El-Bayir and wished to save their people from destruction.

Shortly after entering the untamed forbidden wilds, they encountered Celestials in service to various Gods, tending to the flowers and trees. The three Elf Kings bowed before the spirits and pleaded to be allowed passage that they may resettle away from Deshen's sins and influence. The leading Celestial they spoke to was named Faelfen ("Just and Kind") by the Elves, as she allowed them passage if they swore to live in harmony with nature and not destroy it as Deshen had done in his realm. The Elves split their party and resettled into the Three Great Elvish Realms.

The permission granted to the Elves inspired Deshen's Second Sin, when he began expanding his borders beyond the divinely mandated line. He viewed the "traitor Elves" being granted permission to settle elsewhere a betrayal of him by the Gods, and therefore elected to simply expand his borders.
