Tieflings are humanoids commonly encountered all across Hazeron, but have more concentrated populations in Atavar, specifically the eastern Kalhastian Empire. The origins of the tiefling race have been long disputed, and they were once seen as devilspawn, often reviled and feared for their appearance. While some still fear tieflings for their infernal heritage, most are seen simply for who they are, much like the other races of the world.
In most areas of Hazeron, tieflings do not tend to form kingdoms and settlements on their own, generally preferring to integrate themselves into others' communities. Most tieflings are shrewd and charismatic, able to quickly ingratiate themselves to a town's population, blending in quickly. Tieflings may choose to group together if enough of them are present in a settlement.
While uncommon, there are tiefling kingdoms out in the world, such as the Moving City of Shiesia.
