The Mending Palm is a religious sect of great influence in Atavar that worships the god Fectovarano. The sect is run cooperatively by both orcs and humans, and is the only organization that contains orcs that openly worship Fecto.
The sect is mainly commanded from the Monastery of the Mending Palm. The monks of the Mending Palm are notable for their immense strength, keeping the peace in many areas around Atavar. The sect is also notable for its diplomatic prowess, and often takes the position of a mediator between feuding kingdoms.
It is said that among the five main offshoot sects that worship Fectovarano under the Church of Fectovarano, the Mending Palm commands the second largest following, just behind the Guiding Stream. However, due to the sect's military significance, the Church often affords the Mending Palm more influence in decision making, especially around Atavar, where regiments of Mending Palm monks keep the peace in many locations. The sect is expected to defer to the judgement of the Church, but does not always do so.
