The Isles of Wrath are a collection of chaotic islands located in northeast Gessaria. Wild magic flows unpredictably throughout the isles, and all manners of beasts and unsavory creatures make their residences in the many ruins throughout the lands. The god Jylurm is known to have a significant presence in the surrounding waters.

Still, despite its many horrors, many believe the riches of a forgotten kingdom are there to claim for those with enough courage to brave the terrors of the isles.

Geography

The Isles of Wrath form a sort of fragmented archipelago of roughly 70 distinct islands and a number of smaller islets. The islands tend to feature high, rocky cliffs that face the ocean, which is itself highly irregular and chaotic.

In the center of the isles is a string of islands known as the Ring of Mirrors, which surround a giant underwater crater. This is said to be the most dangerous place in all of Gessaria, not because of any powerful beast or angry god, but simply because it is pure chaos.

The islands themselves rarely feature similar environments and ecology; one island might be humid and tropical, while a neighboring island will have a frigid climate. These do not appear to be effects that are naturally formed by the geography, but instead by chaotic energy and magic.

History

The lands surrounding the Isles are purported to have once been inhabited by an ancient kingdom; ruins of this forgotten country may be found on many of the islands. Many of these ruins contains broken mirrors, either on the walls or in pieces across the ground. The adventurer Ulian Bowband believes these ruins to belong to Hassant.
