A strange, demonic somehow taken from an otherworldly fiend. The deep red gem is cut chaotically and reflects light at strange angles, and appears to pulsate if you stare at it for too long.
Effect
The magically inclined may draw out the hellish power it holds and use it for spellcasting. The Hellheart allows users to cast a spell up to 2nd level once a day.
History
The Peas claimed the Hellheart from Yyk Sen during their battle outside of Hazerhorn, after which Grognock decided to hold on to the stone, harboring a strange grudge against the demon that held it. Wander later identified the usefulness of the gem to casters, but Grognock continued to hold onto it, worried about the ramifications of utilizing demon magic. Yyk Sen later attempted to retrieve her heart by entering a gamble with the Peas, but the group declined her offer. The party later learned that the demon in fact had 7 hearts in total, including the one they took. Yyk Sen appeared capable of maintaining sentient clones using the hearts, but any manifestations she created without a heart were largely mindless.
During the Peas' travels through the Nightspell Moors and up to Sanaris, Yyk Seen would attempt to take back her heart by force, but was unsuccessful in all attempts.
Grognock later brought the heart to the priests of the Fectern Temple of Hymathel, and the high priest of the temple Weil Syllis conducted a purification ritual on the heart that shattered it into dust. Yyk Sen later expressed sadness over this act. It is unknown if the demon lost any more hearts during her encounters with the demigod Tarisi.
