Great Throne War

The Great Throne war was a long, bloody war fought throughout Gessaria from roughly Iron 952 to Iron 966 that eventually ended up involving all its kingdoms and territories in its various battles. The sparking conflict centered around two individuals, Seamus McHammerface and Halarain Ovastios, who each had laid claims to the thrones of Sanaris and Pallam respectively based on their birthrights. The war eventually reached all corners of the continent, as the hostilities began to dredge up longstanding conflicts that had laid dormant in the region for years. The war concluded with a victory from the resistance, which alongside returning the House of Ovastios to the Pale Throne, effective reverted Sanaris back to monarchical rule after hundreds of years of supposed democracy. This also resulted in the separation of Locir Dorcas from Falderheim, the construction of the Great Betarian Barrier, the opening of borders between the Deadmarch and Sanaris.
