The Ozvir was a tiefling man who held the title of Great Sorcerer in Shiesia while Journey was growing up in the village.
A demanding and selfish man, the Great Sorcerer's senility and ill temperament eventually led him to strike an unprecedented deal with the Dracohest in order to imbue various members of the community with magic so that he could take them as wives. This ultimately led to his downfall, and eventually the Dracohest led the villagers in a coup against him, resulting in his death.
Journey was, at one point, a prime candidate to be wed to the Great Sorcerer, much to her dismay.
