Cormac McHammerface is the half elven barkeep of the Festering Fowl, as well as the uncle of Seamus McHammerface. He is an understanding man, but his patience has its limits.

Description

Cormac is an adult half elf. He is tall, muscular, and has messy brown hair and a somewhat unkempt beard. He wears plain and unassuming clothes, stained somewhat from food and drink that has spilled over the years. There are two circular scars on Cormac's forehead where horns protruded while he was briefly corrupted.

Cormac is kind, especially to those who don't have much. He is open-minded and tries his best to accommodate those around him. However, he does have a temper if his patience is pushed, and regular patrons of the Festering Fowl can attest to how terrifying it is.

Skills and Abilities

Cormac appears to be a somewhat capable tavern keeper, able to handle both the tending of the bar, the cooking of the food, and the cleaning of the linens in his tavern.

Cormac appears physically powerful.

History

Some time ago, Cormac became the proprietor of the Festering Fowl, inheriting it from his great-uncle. Seamus once committed some heinous act in the tavern, greatly angering Cormac.

When Bylhivar was destroyed by something, Cormac lost all of his living family members. As Seamus left without a word, Cormac assumed he was dead as well.

The Peas came to stay in the Festering Fowl years after the raids, at Seamus' discretion. Cormac offered the party rooms for free after Grognock helped build some shelves for him, and poured the group some drinks and held some conversations. Cormac did not recognize Seamus, who was wearing a polymorph amulet and disguised as his alter-ego, Murica. Seamus, as Murica, told Cormac that he was still alive, and was last seen in the Nightspell Moors. Cormac was delighted by this news, and decided to set out the next morning to search for him.

The next morning, Seamus removed his amulet and spoke to Cormac, who embraced him with tears, while also admonishing him for not coming sooner. Seamus explained his precarious situation regarding the Sanarian Tax Agency to him, and while Cormac wished to help, help didn't have much to give.

Cormac was affected slightly by the Bottle Demon's machinations in the Nevald District, growing a set of horns. He was blessed by a priest, however, and these later fell off. He met up with Seamus briefly during the relief efforts for the town, but didn't want to draw suspicion, so he kept their contact brief.

Seamus used Phaelnah's power of Sending to get in touch with Cormac, informing him on one occasion that he was the king of Sanaris and Madrioc, and on another that he had personally slayed a dragon. Cormac responded to all these messages with utter confusion.

Seamus later tried to convince Cormac to move to Madrioc in order to protect him, but Cormac did not wish to leave. Seamus instead returned and forced Cormac to flee through the Roomy Chest.
