Quiet is a younger purple tiefling woman, and the proprietor of the tavern Rest Assured. She is accomodating and kind, and knowledgeable about the city of Madrioc. She is quite fond of drink. Quiet is the twin sister of Whisper.
Description
Quiet is a female purple tiefling. She has soft, grey eyes that are usually turned upwards by the cheerful expression she generally wears. She has medium cut black hair that doesn't quite reach her shoulders, and is intermittently braided and held together by small bands and such. Her horns emerge further up her forehead, and curve backwards over the top of her head. They are covered in small trinkets, bands, and earrings that jingle quietly when she moves. Quiet usually wears a fashionable cloth shirt with leather accents, as well as form-fitting leather pants. On occasion, she wears a dress.
Quiet is a generally cheerful person, and isn't quick to anger. She is a bit nosy and curious, and will often eavesdrop on the conversations of her patrons in order to pick up on gossip. She loves to drink, and becomes somewhat useless as a bartender when she has had too much. She has showcased patience with her patrons, especially the Peas, who often forget to pay her.
Skills and Abilities
Quiet is a somewhat competent innkeeper, and has a decent eye for aesthetics, keeping her tavern clean and appealing. The decor in her rooms is comfortable and the beds are very comfy, making them difficult to get out of.
Quiet is very knowledgeable about Madrioc, having lived there her whole life.
Quiet has keen ears, and can pick up on most things happening in her tavern. She will often use this to eavesdrop on conversations and collect gossip about the city.
History
Not much is known about Quiet's history. She has claimed she has lived in Madrioc her whole life.
At some point, Quiet founded her tavern, Rest Assured.
The Peas first met Quiet while looking for lodging in the city, recommended by Eitryll Windseeker. On the first night they stayed there, Quiet became very inebriated, rolling around on her bar and playing with Mange. She provided the party with information about Madrioc, such as places to get clothes and magic items.
During Hjesta's attack, she hid behind her bar in fear. Afterwards, impressed with their ability in battle, she suggested that the party join the tournament in the Mad King's Arena. Quiet bet on the Peas for the tournament, apparently winning 100 gold. She informed Journey about a dragon shrine in the Willows.
The Peas spent many of their nights in Madrioc in her tavern, and built up a rapport with her over time. Quiet wished the group farewell when they moved on from the city, gifting them with one of her horn ornaments, and asking them to keep an eye out for her sister.
Quiet eventually reunited with her sister Whisper after the Peas encountered the mercenary on their travels. Perhaps out of guilt, Whisper traveled to Madrioc and stayed with Quiet for some time, catching up on what the other had done. After arriving in town themselves before the attack on Zahast, the Peas chose to stay at Rest Assured for a while, and Quiet was all to happy to oblige.
