Spell Description

Crystal Evocation

1st level evocation

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Variable
Components: S, M (A dragon crystal)
Duration: Instantaneous, variable

You focus on drawing out the power of your crystal into a devastating attack. First, determine what elements you wish to imbue your spell with. You can use any elements currently contained within your crystal. Second, you must roll 1d6 to determine the form of your spell, utilizing the spell form table:

1. Cone

4. 10 foot sphere

2. Line

5. 30 foot sphere

3. Single Target

6. Random Effect

Third, roll 1d12, and multiply the result by 10. This is the range of your spell. Next, roll 1d20 and add your spellcasting ability modifier to the result. You must beat a DC 15 check. On a failure, roll a number of d4s equal to your sorcerer level and apply that as damage to yourself.

Now, roll another 1d6, and use the spell damage chart to determine what kind of damage dice you will roll. Finally, roll 4 of that dice type and add your spell modifier. This is your total damage. Your spell is now complete, and must be cast.

1. d4

4. d8

2. d6

5. d10

3. d8

6. d12

If you rolled a random effect in the first die roll, an effect from the random crystal effect table will occur, and the spell will end.

At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you may roll one more damage die for each slot level above 1st.

Information

Journey casts this spell with some frequency, with varying results. So far, none have been terribly devastating. She once became a powerful avatar of pure cold energy, but it only lasted for 12 seconds.
