The Grand Library is guarded at all times by the Library Guard, an Imperial body which draws its members from across Oerth. Famous members include veterans of the Adventurer's Guild, Order Journeymen and retired Troll Legionnaires.
The current head of the guard is captain Lasalle, a former legion General who reached was forced to exit the military after being caught in bed with his superiors wife.
