The former capital of The Kingdom of Tir, the city of Caislean has been abandoned since the end of the Imperial Wars, leaving the surrounding villages to fend for themselves. Around a third of the Duchy was separated in 3A 205 to form the New County of T'Kashire, and the Duchy was entirely dissolved the following year, with the area south of the River Coill becoming part of the New County and the former Royal Holdings to the north becoming a new administrative area under their old name.
The majority of the mines in the Royal Duchy have been abandoned, however the mine just north of the city still produces small amounts of Antimony, Lapis Lazuli and Amethyst for those brave or stupid enough to work there.
