  1. Quests

JF07. Under The Bank

Completed

The Jade Foxes were hired by Reynard d'Kundarak, a director at the Sharn Kundarak bank, to access one of their deep vaults.  However before they were able to meet Reynard d'Kundarak, they had to find a way to access him.  An official that met them at the bank entrance refused to take them through to see the director, as they did not have an official appointment.  So the Jade Foxes were forced to fake an official document granting them passage.

When they finally got through to his office, Reynard d'Kundarak explained that the bank had several deep vaults that had the most precious items held within.  One of these vaults belonged to King Boranel, and the King required several documents contained within for upcoming trade talks with Queen Aurala of Aundair.  The protection on these vaults was high enough that the way past the security was not written down anywhere; instead they were kept memorised by three members of the house.  Unfortunately all three had been murdered in the last few months, so there was no record of how to get safely to the vault.  Reynard d'Kundarak therefore needed the Jade Foxes to break into the vault and receive the documents.  Secrecy and discretion were of utmost importance for this assignment.

Guided by a warforged, the Jade Foxes headed down deep below the bank into the vaults.  Their first trial was overcoming a pit hidden by illusion magic along a corridor, and Rahl Morninglow fell into the hidden pit and found the corpse of a thief, long forgotten.  Helping him out, the Jade Foxes continued into a large circular chamber that had an iron bull at the centre.  Kriv attempted to climb across the outer wall, but eventually fell to the floor, which awoke the beast; it was only defeated after Sarran climbed onto it's back and removed a greatsword that had been lodged there.

After resting, the Jade Foxes continued down further into the vault (JF08. Into The Vault).
