Storm's Grace

Airship

The Storm's Grace is an airship in the service of House Lyrandar.  It served as a troop transport during the last few years of the Last War.  It did not participate directly in battles, but the crew did see combat occasionally, mostly from pirates, flying creatures and those foolish enough not to respect House Lyrandar's neutrality.

Not long after the end of the Last War, Selene d'Lyrandar was appointed as the airship's pilot, a position that she has held ever since.  The Storm's Grace has been continually in service to House Lyrandar in a variety of roles - such as transporting goods and carrying expeditions to far-flung lands.

In early 1000YK, the Storm's Grace was hired by legendary explorer Lord Boroman ir'Dayne for an expedition to the Glowing Chasm, deep within the Mournland.  The expedition was successful, but the Storm's Grace took heavy damage from the strange magic that inhabits the area.  Desperately in need of repairs, Captain Fenric d'Lyrandar brought the airship to Korth, capital of the nation of Karrnath.  There the Storm's Grace faced several months of repairs; and so the crew has been given shore-leave, while Captain Fenric d'Lyrandar oversaw the repairs.

The repair-work was cut short by the desperate need to shuttle soldiers to The Demon Wastes; The Storm's Grace made it there and back, but a full rebuild was needed upon returning to Korth.  Unfortunately Fenric d'Lyrandar had been injured during the battle, so Selene d'Lyrandar took temporary command to oversee the repairs.  This involved hiring her new friends to seek out what was preventing shipments of Nightwood from the Stirk Lumberyard.

Once the repairs were completed, the Storm's Grace was sent to Sharn, where it was based for some time.  From there, it joined an expedition to Xen'drik; House Cannith was attempting to send expeditions into the jungles there, and House Lyrandar had agreed to provide logistical support.  With Fenric d'Lyrandar still recovering from his injuries, Selene d'Lyrandar took command.
