Arc is a Changeling bard, hailing from they city of Korth, Karrnath. The last known whereabouts of Arc was in the guise of Alvalor Altener, as part of a Brelish expedition into The Mournland.

Overview

Arc first came across the party whilst on mission investigating the attacks on shipments of wood from the Stirk Lumberyard (see KA06. The Corrupted Forest). They joined the party due to their mutual objective in learning the truth of the attacks in order to restart business from the lumberyard. Arc continued to work with the party, both for personal gain, and reconnaissance for the Dark Cabinet - although Arc was very loosely obeying orders, and not reporting back as often as their superiors would have liked.

Arc was in their most common guise, that of the human, Arcadia Reya. Arc revealed their true nature as a Changeling (and not a Human) as the group journeyed through a dungeon, where they relied on Arc's dark-vision. Later in the mission, Arc revealed another of their many "personas". In KA08. Into the Tomb they transformed into Nalok, the fearsome but slightly dim hobgoblin.

In KA10. Curtain Call, Part I Arc took the form of lovable rogue, Alvalor Altener, although it soon became apparent the Half-Elf had some sort of drug problem.

In KA11. Curtain Call, Part II, they transformed into Leandra d'Phiarlan, the stuck-up, dragon-marked Elf.

In KA21. The Forger's Lair, Part I, Arc took on the guise of the suave and sophisticated vampire, Dorian Thiel.

Between the events of KA24. Battle at the Dam and KA27. The Manor Grounds, Arc was called back to Korth. Whilst praised for the good work done in terms of reconnaissance done in Breland and Riedra, Arc was also punished for not following orders and reporting back sooner. The tip of Arc's left little finger was taken off, by orders of Hassian Tremore. This can not be hidden in any form.

Following KA28. The Vampire's Lair, Arc made the bold decision to dessert the Dark Cabinet and Karrnath for good, realising that they were not good things to be associated with (having finally seen life on the outside). Arc allowed colleague Maya Furlani to report the news back, thus making Arc an enemy of the state, with a bounty on their head.

Arc played an instrumental role (in her main guise of Arcadia Reya) in defeating a powerful Lich in KA30. Fire and Ice, a highlight of their adventuring career.

Following the defeat of the Lich, this concluded Arc's adventure's with Daellin, Smith, Elias Minch, Selene d'Lyrandar, Bludak Mal K'shaar, and (albeit, briefly) Urisys Daergel. It marked a turning point, where the party each decided to head their separate ways, but all on good terms, and not discounting a possible future reunion. Arc had shaken off a Karrnathi operative ordered to kill them (KA29. Journey to Droaam), but knew the Karrnath government would never give up it's mission to kill Arc for treason. Arc went to ground in Sharn for a brief time, using the guise of Alvalor Altener, as it was unknown to her previous employers - it would be too risky to use the Arcadia Reya persona. But Arc soon grew bored, and need a new way to test their powers. News of an incredibly dangerous expedition organised by King Boranel ir'Wynarn into The Mournland pricked Arc's ears. The primary goal was to get intel on the Lord of Blades and his army (if such existed), the secondary aim was to get any information on the cause or fate of Cyre. Arc/Alvalor put themselves forward, and dove into the unknown...

Background (pre-campaign)

Arc grew up a street urchin, not knowing where the fate of their parents. Arc's skills in stealth and subterfuge meant that when offered the choice of death or working for the Dark Cabinet (following being caught thieving), Arc had little choice. Arc worked as a spy for the Karrnath government for several years, specifically for the Dark Cabinet. Their successes also earned her contracts working directly for House Phiarlan within Karrnath and its neighbours.
