Allishae

Allishae, also known as Moon Mother, Goddess of the Final Rest, and Fate Weaver, is the goddess of death, fate, and the moon. She is also considered the Goddess of winter, the passage of time, twilight, and the transition between life and death.

Since her Domain is over Death and all that has to deal with the subject, she has a long history with the Goddess Sorentas

Description

Appearance

She takes the form of a skeletal wolf enveloped in shadow essence, but the shadow does not envelope the skull. Her humanoid form is that of a woman with a wolf skull for a mask, has long black hair, and wears a cloak made from a black wolf’s hide.

Symbol

Her common iconography is that of a wolf's skull. However, different regions of the world will add various characteristics; such as her long black hair behind the skull, or a black mane behind the skull. Some say within the Underfell her symbol is that of her tower.

The Underfell

Allishae resides in her Plane of the Underfell. The Underfell is known by most mortals as the first step into the afterlife. This realm welcomes those that have passed on as a permanent residence, or as a place of judgement before entering their chosen Deities afterlife. Allishae's realm welcomes those who have worshipped her or have found no solace in the Deities during their life. The Underfell is a dark reflection of what the Material Plane looks like.

Biography

Background

Allishae was originally a mortal who was the Champion of the previous deity of death. She rose into the position once they were slain in the Diathan War. The memory of the previous diety was completely wiped from history, and the gods themselves will not speak of their name. Many will debate whether she was just a follower of the previous diety or a lover.

Her place within the Diathan Pantheon is rocky. Some deities see her as an equal, but others see her ascension as a disgrace against their fallen brethren. Her only close connection in the Diathan Pantheon is with Edemontea. Allishae's sworn enemy is Sorentas.

Worshippers

Not many heavily worship Allishae other than the clerics of her church. Many only pray to her in times of death, or to keep death at bay. Many fear that if they speak her name, they will invoke death unto themselves.

The clerics of Allishae normally do not leave their temples unless they are invoked for funerals or even to speak to the dead in certain circumstances. Some cities and kingdoms will call upon the worshippers to speak with the departed to solve crimes.

Relations

Edemontea

Allishae's only close relationship is with Edemontea. Since her accession, Edemontea has always had a fascination with her. They are polar opposites; she is the Goddess of Death, and he the God of Life. Both of their personality are opposite as well. Allishae always holds herself as cool, calm, and collected, while Edemontea is playful, joyous, and flirty.

Sorentas

Allishae and Sorentas have a history before her ascension into godhood. They were known to be good friends, some believe they were even siblings. Their relationship began to strain when Sorentas began to delve into teachings of Necromancy. During the Diathan War, Sorentas ascended into godhood and killed the previous deity of death. With their last dying breath, the previous diety of death ascended Allishae into godhood. At the end of the Diathan War, Allishae, along with Silica, banished Sorentas from the Material Plane

Hoping to seal away the Odelates for good, the Prime Diathanretreated from the Material Plane. Behind themselves and their defeated brethren, they erected a barrier known as the Diathan Net, which would prevent any god from physically crossing over into mortal realms.

The departure of the gods from Avada, and the diminishing of their influence, was an event that has since come to be known as "The Severance".

This was not a unanimous decision; some Prime Diathan didn't think creating the Diathan Net was truly in their best interests. But those deities were outvoted.

This fine black cloth, soft as silk, is folded up to the dimensions of a handkerchief. It unfolds into a circular sheet 6 feet in diameter.

You can use an action to unfold and place the well of many worlds on a solid surface, whereupon it creates a two-way portal to another world or plane of existence. Each time the item opens a portal, the GM decides where it leads. You can use an action to close an open portal by taking hold of the edges of the cloth and folding it up. Once the well of many worlds has opened a portal, it can't do so again for 1d8 hours.

Metallic dragons are a type of dragon distinguished typically by the color and composition of their scales, which are like that of various metals, hence the name. They were generally good, altruistic, and righteous creatures. Despite their relatively benign nature, metallic dragons were also aggressive when threatened or challenged.

Types

Although there were many metallic dragon species, the following are the ones known by sages of Avada;

Gold dragons

Gold dragons are the most powerful and majestic of the classic metallic dragons. They are wise, lawful foes of evil and injustice. Gold dragons were very knowledgeable and reclusive. They preferred stone lairs and had a cone of fire as a breath weapon.

Silver dragons

Silver dragons are regal, lawful good creatures who often take a humanoid form and live among humans and elves. Their breath weapon was a cone of freezing cold, and they normally lived in the mountains. They were very smart and preferred not to fight unless necessary.

Bronze dragons

Bronze dragons are inquisitive dragons with a fierce appearance and a fascination for warfare. They would often seek to fight evil and would join good-aligned armies in a humanoid form. They were lawful good, lived in coastal areas, and had an electrical breath weapon.

Copper dragons

Copper dragons are born pranksters, jokesters, and riddlers. They were chaotic good and lived in rocky mountains. Copper dragons had an acid-breath weapon but preferred to avoid combat altogether, instead taunting and teasing foes until they left.

Brass dragons

Brass dragons are extremely talkative and love the intense heat of deserts. They often engage foes and friends alike in hours of long-winded conversation. They avoid combat if possible, but will use their breath weapon, a cone of sleeping gas, to subdue foes if threatened. They are the weakest of the classic metallic dragons, but still chaotic good.

Mercury dragons

Mercury dragons are whimsical, impulsive creatures. They delight in unpredictability and are reputed to be mentally unstable as well.

Iron dragons

Iron dragons are powerful, dangerous predators. While most have a neutral alignment, some are evil.

Steel dragons

Steel dragons are sociable, clever, and curious, and they prefer the company of humanoids rather than dragons. They often clandestinely lived in humanoid cities and spent much of their time in a humanoid form. They breathe a cone of poison gas.

Platinum dragons

The rarest, largest, and most powerful of the metallic dragons, platinum dragons represented the epitome of the metallic dragons. Many believed that only one ever existed.
